[Blooming Lotus in the Reflection of the Sun, Radiant in a Unique Red Hue]
Lotus Fairy - Ms. Zhao Lan wholeheartedly supports the charitable causes of Oriental Chushuai!
"Chinese children, the future sun"
Children are the flowers of the motherland, the future and hope of the nation.
In her heart, there is a "sun," and the lotus painting shines brilliantly.
Ms. Zhao Lan was born in Inner Mongolia in 1978. Since childhood, she has been deeply influenced by her family's values and teachings of "self-improvement, tolerance, kindness, and universal love." These teachings have made the "sun" in her heart deeply connected to the sacred mission of Oriental Chushuai, "Chinese Children, Future Sun." As a result, her lotus paintings have gained more lively dance steps and more reasons to smile, shining and dazzling even more. She believes that with these two "suns," flowers can bloom everywhere in life. It ensures that the little angels in the difficulties will experience warmth even in the cold winter and coolness in the blazing season. Wherever these two "suns" go, it is destined for flowers to bloom and captivate the city!
Ms. Zhao has had a deep love for painting since childhood, particularly during the season when cicadas sing and lotus flowers bloom.
She aspires to emulate the ancient master Wang Mian, nurturing her interest in the elegance and temperament of lotus flowers. Drawing inspiration from the Confucian scholar Zhou Dunyi's "On the Love of Lotus," she emphasizes noble character, cultivates emotions, and seeks to purify the soul like the lotus rising from muddy waters, earning her the title of "Lotus Fairy." With a keen and intellectual gaze, she meticulously observes the subtle changes in form, spirit, and color of lotus flowers, leaves, pods, and roots. She is captivated by the various postures of lotus flowers in the wind, evening, morning, and under the influence of rain and dew.
Ms. Zhao's lotus paintings exhibit a casual and flowing style, balancing curves and straight lines, blending strength and gentleness, with flowers displaying countless charms. They may exude grace and nobility or be elegant and straightforward. She employs a "broad vision, dense concentration, diligence in refining the mind, skillful use of brush and ink," distinguishing her works from other lotus paintings. Delving into the use of brush and ink, she continuously experiments with incorporating Western techniques such as light and shadow, perspective, and color contrast into her art, achieving an unexpected fusion of Eastern and Western, ancient and modern elements. She has developed her unique lotus painting style: a contrast of reality and illusion, a nuanced variation between depth and lightness, presenting an elegant, graceful, and naturally harmonious beauty. The interplay of colors and ink creates a sense of joy, and her works achieve a spiritual leap from the artistic realm to the realm of freedom, pioneering a new dimension in the realm of ink painting.
In the courtyard the leafless plane trees loom;
By waterside all lotuses are in full bloom.
If the best colors of spring& summer are debated,
Only intoxicates the fragrance of lotus the heart!
